I was never a fan of the gingham print once it became popular this summer/fall season, but the more I see it in stores and the quicker we transition into the fall I have found myself using my one gingham shirt for various outfits. This pattern also blends in well with the black and white trend of the year without losing its appeal as a semi-dressy button down for work.
Burgundy and black gingham is a cozy look that I will be wearing as the weather gets a bit colder. It reminds me of an urban farm girl with an affinity for black coffee.
You can never go wrong with a good pair of black jeans. Because I had worn my last pair to shreds (literally), I thought it was about time I picked up another to match it effortlessly with this shirt once skirts are no longer comfortable in the city air. My favourite accessory to add with this look is a pair of delicate faux pearl earrings and red lipstick if you want to dress it up a bit.
