It has gotten to that point of the year when my bedroom is rarely clean. No matter how much I try to maintain it my laundry basket is always overflowing and the decorative armchair that has been with my family for the past 25 years is now just a fancy coat rack. So, as I do every year, I have decided that it is time to get it together and be tidier—whether it’s with my bedroom and the clothing I should be putting away or just with my life in general. I tend to leave things half done and not necessarily take the time to finish what I start.
First and foremost is the little things; cleaning the brushes that go on my face to reduce any blemishes. Something as small as that could make all the difference when it comes to paying for skin treatments on a regular basis.
Second would be to complete the projects I start. Recently I managed to finish an art project that was in the works for 2 months. There is also the first chapter of a novel sitting in my USB that I always say I am going to work on, but can never find the time or inspiration for it. Don’t get me wrong; I understand that motivation doesn’t just come from nowhere, but at some point a decision needs to be made in the direction you want things to progress.
If there is one thing I want to improve on before I turn 24 is my ability to choose a certain life style and stick to it until I find that it no longer serves me the way I once wanted it to.
What do you find difficult sticking to?
