My birthday this year has probably been the most eventful weekend of my life. It feels like I’ve barely gotten any sleep event though I have taken this week off just to have some ‘me’ time. It’s strange having finally hit the cusp of my mid-twenties, but I can comfortably say that things are going the way I would want them to and know that it can only get more fun and enjoyable from here.
lthough my parents keep joking that I’m basically thirty (when actually 24) I have made a deal with myself to not take things so seriously and have a more relaxed attitude towards things that would have otherwise stressed me out in the past when I was younger. One of the hardest things to do – especially for me – is to accept that things are a certain way and cannot necessarily be reversed. The only thing you can do is take them as they are and try to improve them until you are happy. And this means accepting your friends, family and significant other for who they are and not stressing over the little things.
I have attached a few pictures of high tea and the Toronto chocolate festival that were part of my birthday celebrations.
